Chambray Hideaway...

And so it goes...as winter vacation continues I find joy in the smell of grass and the beauty of fallen leaves.

I may have interrupted the fisherman's concentration with my frolicking ways, but in my perfect day dreaming world that's what make shift bridges across a tiny stream are for!

Having a candle lit dinner planned for the night ahead, I had to made sure I was prepared to impress my hunny, yet preventing any dangers to get in my way during my park excursion. (You never know when a wild tree branch will strike!)

So I was forced to pair this chic look with some edgy (branch proof) lace up combat boots. What I wasn't prepared for was a leaf snagging my tights!Thank goodness American Apparel is just a block away!

Macrame in the Back Bay...

And so it goes....As Christmas comes to an end and relaxation mode is in full force I enjoy a stroll in the back bay.

I'll admit, the dirt trail and engrossing bristle didn't support my days look (and the runners second this theory with their questionable glances), but I figured a beautiful day deserved a beautiful ensemble!

However; this look came second to my plans to wear my new beautiful mustard trench I received as a Christmas gift , but who would have guessed the weather would be sweat provoking the day after Christmas.

Nonetheless, I was still pleased to be able to wear my macrame skirt and my chambray tank.
And there is no better reason to wear a wide brim fedora than on a sunny day!

It's a Party!

And so it goes...as I equip my self with all the necessary party attire, I am ready for my work Christmas party...

A Christmas party is undoubtedly one of the best reasons to dress up!
Unfortunately our Christmas party is a lunch taco buffet and miscellaneous goods brought form home. And I assure you I will be heavily over dressed, compared to the flip flops and baggy sweaters that will surround me. But I'll stand tall (in my 6" wedges) and take pride in my silly stubborn "but if it's a party I HAVE to wear heels" ways.

Frazzle Dazzle

And so it goes…after a long night of Christmas chores, and one too many ingested Christmas cookies I find myself at a frazzled stand still.
Am I forgetting a gift?? What day is Christmas again?? Why is my shirt on backwards??
I keep clicking from one open tab to another forgetting what my purpose for doing so was (you know, like the whole “why am I in the kitchen” scenario circa pre multiple tabs)
So as you see, I’ve been left with a bit of writers block…followed with a bit of wardrobe block… but I think I picked a safe look, seasonal red shirt, black pants. Added some accessories (one necklace I neglected to bring out from under my shirt) yadda yadda. So there you have it…
Keep your eye out from some more frazzled looks till the countdown to Christmas is over.

Nine to Five

And so it goes…as Christmas rapidly approaches and my mind is full of a holiday to-do list I find it hard to concentrate on uhhhh, oh yeah, WORK!

To prevent making obvious my temporary lack of interest in my profession, I’ve spruced up today’s attire with a professional vibe. You can’t doubt that I’m doing anything but work in these go-getter trousers! Right?

Work is boring, but my jobby look doesn’t have to be.  I added some amazing pumps (the newest addition to my wardrobe!) an ultra-sheer chiffon top( because lets face it, this look was just a bit too appropriate), and some dazzling accessories!

Low and behold, my strenuous work day is filled with Christmas tree decoration, and pot-luck planning!

The joys of working in an all women office!

Stream Lined...

And so it goes...as I woke from my night slumber on a friends couch, I felt I needed a tailored look to make up for the sloppy night that came before...Don't you just love the weekend!

I threw on my fitted wool blazer, black skinnies, and my brown boots to keep it comfortable and polished.

This outfit didn't quite fit into my days plans of making and decorating Christmas cookies.
Let's just say this white shirt was even sloppier than the night before...

Wrinkles and Sprinkles

And so it goes....in the midst of this rainy day, I suited up and braved the storm.

Ok, not much of a storm, but a girl can hope, and therefore prepare. I layered up in a hoodie topped with my leather jacket. Leather is waterproof right?

Finishing this storm proof look, I added my boots and some cozy leggings and hit the road....

Happy Saturday!

Flare Affair....

And so it goes...as Thursday creeps up and I just now feel adjusted to the work week, I try to find an outfit that fits my mood.

My mood being, well, moody.

So pairing my skinny flare pants, and seemingly plastic cardigan, with a super lax tank fits into both my on edge, yet apathetic disposition.

Achieving a look to mirror my mood has left me feeling accomplished and giddy, Now i just need a new look for that...

Hooded Bliss....

And so it goes...on a gloomy California morning I was challenged with the task of bundling...

It's hard to admit to myself that yes, sometimes it gets cold in this paradise we call Southern California. So I'm constantly shocked when I see the thermostat display any number below 65 degrees.

Clearly unprepared, I put on a skirt that belonged no where but my closet on this winters day. To try to cover my bases I glamed up with my Salmon colored hooded scarf (such a good buy!), a sequined cardigan with a hood, and a very thin chiffon top.
Ok, nothing in this ensemble screams warm to me, hence the booties. They gave me a 5% greater chance of preventing hypothermia.

Ok ok,  it's not thaaat cold. So This outfit was suitable...and definitely Adorable!
So let the challenge of dressing for cold days begin....

Charged...

and so it goes...as our Saturday night merged into Sunday morning, I knew we had a long, yet spectacular day ahead. We were going to a Chargers game. That's football for everyone who didn't know.
(If my boyfriend wasn't obsessed I would be just as clueless)

For the day I jumped on that football bandwagon and threw on my newly bought Chargers tee (that now serves of no use to me). Gathered all the footballiest foods and filled a tub thing full of beer for our tailgate party. Clearly I was new to all of this.

In my attempt to be one of the guys, but dress like one of the girl, I made sure my outfit for the day was comfortable, warm, and as fashionable as I could make a football tee look.

I paired a sequined beanie, with some gold rimmed glasses, my new favorite cords, and my fave boots and figured that was as good as it was going to get. (after a few of  those Heineken it got a little bit better)

Watching the game was a blast, or should I say watching the cheerleaders!
I'd even think about going again... just to get another use out of my shirt
